Archives and Special Collections at the Augustus C. Long Health Sciences Library is pleased to announce its acquisition of Samuel Bard’s An Enquiry into the Nature, Cause and Cure, of the Angina Suffocativa, or, Sore Throat Distemper.



The Knowledge Center is pleased to host Binding Wounds Pushing Boundaries: African Americans in Civil War Medicine a traveling exhibit of the National Library of Medicine, located at its main entrance.


In an ongoing effort to improve the Health Sciences Library, we are asking all patrons to tap their ID cards as they enter and exit the Knowledge Center.  This data allows the library to know who is using the space, when and for how long. From there, we can make strategic changes to improve your library experience. Please note that the library WILL NOT have access to personally identifiable information as we analyze the data.

Archives & Special Collections of the Augustus C. Long Health Sciences Library is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit on the history of the Columbia University School of Nursing.

The Knowledge Center turned into a Carnival for two hours on Wednesday, February 22. More than 270 members representing all five CUMC schools attended the first Open House Carnival for games, prizes, food, and fun.
